Course content

In summer term (irregular) Mrs. Prof. Dr. Balleer offers a seminar for students of the Bachelor of Business Administration. Here, current topics of the labor market economy are examined from different perspectives. Examples of questions are:

What does the refugee crisis mean for the labor market? How does demographic change affect the labor market? Is skilled labor deficit a real problem? What has changed the introduction of the minimum wage in Germany? Do we need more labor market flexibility? The role of temporary work. What are the consequences of the rail strike for the labor market? What is the employment rate for women? How do subsidies for commuters influence the German labor market? Has the reform of Bologna (the introduction of bachelor's and master's degrees) changed the labor market for new entrants?
