Aachen Pedagogy Day 2017
Friday, December 1, 2017, 11am to 3.30pm
What are the factors that make the teaching of heterogeneous groups successful? The Aachen Pedagogy Day 2017 seeks critically and constructively to examine the political framework for the implementation of inclusive education and explore possible alternatives for action in schools and in the education and training of teachers.
At the beginning of the event, workshops for different target groups will provide insights into different teaching methods and offer the opportunity for an exchange of practical experiences in the classroom. Subsequently, representatives from schools and universities will discuss approaches to an inclusive development of schools and the significance of inclusion-oriented teaching and training of teachers. Questions under discussion include:
- Which framework conditions have to be met for inclusive teaching of schools in the Aachen region to be successful?
- How is (continuing) teacher training to be adapted to fit the requirements posed by inclusion and heterogeneity?
- What general and subject-specific teaching methodology competencies should future teachers bring to the job?
